CEP is participating in this year’s Valley Gives

Community Education Project
is Getting Ready for Valley Gives on 12.12.13

If you are like me, you love and support the mission of the Community Education Project – and the individuals that work so hard serving the Latino, migrant/immigrant, and non-traditional student populations of Holyoke and the communities of the Hampden and Hampshire counties. Together, they provide education to adult learners and make our community, and our world, a better place.

Community Education Project’s Mission Statement

On December 12, 2013, we have the chance to join together for a powerful day of action, raising as much money as possible for as many organizations as possible on Valley GivesDay. Across Western Massachusetts, in every town, people like me will be going online to www.valleygivesday.org and giving to charities we love and support, like Community Education Project. Every donation  we get will go to further help us claim our share of more than $200,000 in cash awards.

We need your help with these few things:

1.       Mark 12/12/13 on your calendar and bookmark this giving link http://www.razoo.com/story/Community-Education-Project-1.

2.       Follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/cepholyoke and Twitter https://twitter.com/cepholyoke to help build the buzz.

3.       Subscribe to our Blog http://cepholyoke.org/blog.html for further news and information about Valley Gives and other CEP events.

4.       Send us your stories about your experiences with CEP and/or adult education, if applicable.

5.       Spread the world! Forward this e-mail to your family, friends, and colleagues along with a personal note as to why you believe in our work, and why they should give on 12/12/13.

How it works, in case you’re interested in technical details: All donations made on www.valleygivesday.org are made to the Razoo Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization which permits donors to submit donations to other IRS-recognized qualifying 501(c)(3) groups. All gifts are 100% tax deductible, as allowed by law, and will be receipted for tax purposes by the Razoo Foundation. The Razoo Foundation re-grants all contributions to the qualifying organization(s) as advised by the donor, retaining a total of 4.9% per donation for credit card processing, customer service, marketing, and event management expenses.

Help spread the excitement! Tell your network why you think they should help us with their donation. Please be our champion and help bring another year of adult basic education to the community. We cannot wait to celebrate the difference your generosity will make on December 12th.
